2026-2027- Request for Proposals for Universal Prekindergarten
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that I, Mitchell Daly, Principal of Wayne Primary School, will begin to accept requests for proposals for Universal Prekindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year from accredited pre-school and daycare providers operating in the Wayne Central School District.
PROPOSAL FORMS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE by contacting Mitchell Daly, Principal of Wayne Primary School, Wayne Central School District, 315-524-1150 OR by accessing the form from the district website; www.waynecsd.org (See Universal Prekindergarten).
PROPOSALS should be completed and returned to and/or sent to Mitchell Daly, Principal of Wayne Primary School, P.O. Box 155, Ontario Center, NY 14520-0155 by 4pm on February 23, 2026. Questions may be directed to Mitchell Daly at 315-524-1150 or Mdaly@waynecsd.org.

APPLICATIONS FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR UPK PROGRAM
Applications will become available on February 28, 2025
Universal Prekindergarten is a New York State funded program specially designed for 4-year-olds. UPK is not mandatory. Parents may choose to participate in the program. In order to apply for the 2025-2026 school year, children must turn four on or before December 1, 2025. In addition, children must reside in the Wayne Central School District. The UPK program is free to district residents, however, transportation will not be provided.
The program follows the Common Core State Standards for Preschool. You can read about these standards on the engageny website.
The UPK program follows the same calendar as the school district calendar. When Wayne Central students have off, UPK students also do not have school.
Wayne Central School District welcomes all applicants for the UPK program. Slots will be limited and selection will be implemented through a lottery system.
