Early Childhood is one of the most important stages in a child’s development. The attention we give our children at this early stage is crucial to their future success in school and life.

The purpose of Hop, Skip and Jump Preschool program is to plan and implement prekindergarten experiences that meet the developmental needs of the children and their families.

The Hop, Skip and Jump Preschool Program is based on the belief that all children can learn when given sufficient time for individual growth in a positive atmosphere. Our school experiences enrich children’s lives and provide them with skills necessary for lifelong learning.

Early exposure to formal schooling develops cognitive and social skills and respect for cultural and racial differences among children.

Our Program Offers:

  • Opportunities for parents to become actively involved in their children’s education, an important aspect of early childhood development.
  • Emphasis on developing positive self-esteem and high expectations for all students
  • A focus on the individual learning styles of the children
  • Oral and written language skills in all academic areas
  • Hands-on sensory activities that allow children to explore their environment and become effective speakers and listeners
  • Development of language, motor, and social skills in children to prepare them for kindergarten
  • Assistance to parents in strengthening their role as primary teachers of their children
  • Activities allowing parents to enrich their children’s learning at home

By working together, parents, educators and the community can make school an enjoyable and successful experience for all children.
