Wayne Middle School Academic Challenge Bowl Team Celebrates Outstanding Undefeated Season and Region

The Wayne Middle School Academic Challenge Bowl team demonstrated exceptional academic performance during the recent competitive season. The team, composed of eight students in grades 6 through 8, competed in League 6 and finished the regular season undefeated.
Following their successful league performance, the team advanced to the regional playoffs, where they competed against 14 of the top schools in the Rochester area. The team progressed to the final round, ultimately earning second place in the region. This marked their first loss of the season.
The Academic Challenge Bowl is a team-based academic competition that assesses students’ knowledge across multiple subject areas, including core academics, art, and music. The competition consists of several rounds in which students answer various types of questions, requiring both individual knowledge and collaborative teamwork.
Participation in the middle school Academic Challenge Bowl prepares students for future involvement in high school academic competitions, such as Masterminds. These programs promote critical thinking, academic excellence, and effective student collaboration.
The Wayne Central School District congratulates these students on their incredible season, hard work, and representation of the school community.
Congratulations to: Logan Clemons, Zachary Hadcock, Reed Lester, Nora Lester, Garrett Mosier, Jax Schneider, Cooper Smith, Charles Stryker-Lathers
