Meet the Candidates

The Board of Education will host a “Meet the Candidates” night on May 7, 2026, from 5:00-6:00 PM in the High School Cafeteria. During this event, candidates for the Board of Education will have the opportunity to share why they would like to serve and to meet with the community.
From 5:00-5:30 PM, each candidate will deliver a 3-5 minute presentation in a whole-group setting. Following the presentations, community members will have the opportunity to meet candidates informally and ask questions.
This year, four candidates are running for three open seats on the Board of Education. The election of board members is at large. The three candidates who receive the most votes will be elected to three-year terms beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2029. Candidates are listed in the order they will appear on the ballot.
The candidates are:
Jen Wall, Town of Ontario
Jen Wall is a resident of Ontario, NY, and has lived in the Wayne Central School District for 14 years. She and her husband, Patrick, have five children, four attend Wayne Central School, and one is in preschool. She is currently a stay-at-home parent. Before staying home with her children, she worked for 16 years at Heritage Christian Services as a Direct Support Professional and Service Coordinator. Jen served on Wayne Central School District’s Board of Education from 2022 to 2025. During her time on the Board of Education, Jen served on the Audit, Policy, and Communication Committees. Jen serves as a co-leader of a Girl Scout Brownie troop and coaches soccer for Lakefront. She previously coached for Ontario Recreation. Jen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Alexandra McCabe, Town of Ontario
Alexandra McCabe (Ali) is a three-year resident of the Wayne Central School District. She and her husband, Rob, have two school-aged children. At Wayne Central School District, Alexandra currently serves as the community representative to the School Board Audit Committee. Alexandra is an Audit Partner at Skinnon & Faber, Certified Public Accountants, where she has worked for a total of eleven years. In her role, she specializes in audits of governmental and nonprofit financial statements. She also previously worked as an audit supervisor for three years at Albrecht, Viggiano, Zureck & Company, where her focus was governmental accounting and auditing. Alexandra holds a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. Joseph's University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.
Kelly J. Corey, Town of Ontario
Kelly J. Corey is an 18-year resident of the Wayne Central School District. She and her husband, Ron, have been married for 16 years and are the parents of two school-aged children. Kelly served on the Board of Education from 2023 to 2026. During her tenure, she was an active participant on the Policy, Safety, and Communication Committees. In addition to her formal board service, Kelly has served as a panelist for senior projects, as a liaison for the Middle School Parent Teacher Organization, and as a member of the district's Strategic Planning Committee. Kelly earned a degree in Business Administration from Cayuga Community College. In addition, Kelly is a licensed notary public in New York State.
Dennis N. Landry, Town of Walworth
Dennis N. Landry is a 30-year resident of the Wayne Central School District. His daughter, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law teach at the high school. Dennis has three grandchildren attending Wayne Central Schools. Dennis worked in the automotive industry before retiring eight years ago. Dennis is a volunteer firefighter, a board member for the Lincoln Fire Department, and the Town of Walworth’s Planning Board chair. He was also a substitute teacher for Wayne Central. He has also been a member of the Walworth Lions Club for over 10 years. Dennis served on the Board of Education for ten years and achieved Level 3 Board Mastery from the New York State School Board Association. Dennis attended accredited management classes and a trade school for collision repairs. Dennis is a graduate of the Webster Central School District.
