Wayne Students Bring Home Multiple Wins from 2026 Tech Wars

Students from Wayne Central Middle School and High School demonstrated their creativity, engineering expertise, and critical thinking abilities at the 2026 Tech Wars competition, hosted at SUNY Oswego on Friday, March 27. Facing off against teams from schools throughout the region, Wayne participants earned several top placements across a range of STEM-focused events.
Organized annually by the Technology Alliance of Central New York (TACNY), Tech Wars challenges students through a variety of hands-on competitions centered on engineering, design, and technology. These events span activities such as CAD design, CO₂ dragster racing, cardboard boat construction, and Rube Goldberg machine creation.
Wayne students delivered strong performances in both middle and high school divisions, earning recognition for their collaboration, professionalism, and problem-solving throughout the competition.
