Wayne Central School District Hosts Summer Job Fair

For the first time ever, Wayne High School hosted a summer job fair for students in grades 9–12, providing opportunities for career exploration and workforce readiness. With over seventeen companies in attendance, students had the opportunity to explore different job opportunities, connect with local employers, and learn more about potential career pathways.
The event was designed to support students in developing professional skills while strengthening partnerships between the school district and the local business community. Representatives from a diverse range of industries, including retail, food service, healthcare, manufacturing, recreation, and public service, were present to share information about seasonal and part-time employment opportunities.
Students engaged directly with employers and asked questions about job responsibilities and qualifications. The fair provided a structured yet accessible environment where students could practice professional communication, build confidence, and gain insight into workplace expectations.
