Guidelines for Food in School

Classroom Celebrations and Snacks

We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for every student in our schools. Because some students in our district have serious and potentially life-threatening food allergies, we ask for your partnership in helping us keep all students safe.

Birthdays and Celebrations
Families should not send or bring food, treats, goody bags, or other items to school for birthdays or holiday celebrations. Our schools will continue to recognize and celebrate students in ways that allow everyone to participate safely.

Daily Snacks
Students may bring a daily snack for their own individual use when appropriate. To help protect students with food allergies, snacks and other food items brought from home may not be shared with other students.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority.
